A macaron (with one "o") is a sweet confectionery and its name is derived from an Italian word "maccarone" or "maccherone". Although predominantly a French confection, there has been much debate about its origins.

Not to be confused with "macaroons" (with two "o"), which are coconut flavored cookies, usually associated with Jewish holidays.
And also not to be confused with "Macron", which is Emmanuel Macron, who was elected president of France in 2017.

The maracon is characterized by its smooth, domed top, ruffled circumference (referred to as the "foot"), and flat base.

It is mildly moist and easily melts in the mouth.

Each handcrafted Maria Mini Macaron will take you to the cobblestone streets of Paris and evoke that romantic feeling all from this sweet indulgence...
