Captain America was the hero and legend of World War II, until [during] one battle when he was frozen in an iceberg. [Twenty] years later he was recovered by Earths Mightiest Heroes, the Avengers. Cap lead the Avengers until a villian so mighty and so powerful appeared that it took the sacrifice of many Avengers and the Fantastic Four, including Cap. Thanks to Franklin Richards, Cap was alive in a pocket universe, but was unknowingly reliving part of his life with certain altered details. [One] year later, the Avengers and Fantastic Four escaped thanks to Dr. Doom. Today Cap, a man out of time, leads the Avengers once more and is trying to cope with the godly belief the world has in him.
